Welcome to my home
Author, Illustrator, Speaker, Artist
Were you to visit my house in Portland, Oregon, you’d find yourself on a farm, yet surrounded by subdivisions smack in the middle of a big city. Our white Australian Shepherd with the merle patch over one eye would trot out to greet you. Not barking. Wagging and licking. If you don’t like hair covering your clothes, you’d command, “Sit, Talli.” And she would. But as soon as my husband and I noticed your arrival and hurried out to hug you, she’d be off chasing black and red angus cows through the five acres that surround our unusual home.

Painted yellow-cream with green shutters, it sprawls around half of our circle driveway. We’d take you on a tour, showing you three wood stoves, my artist studio, the large office, and a three-level deck with a brick fire pit on the middle level. Then we’d lead you up to the third floor and play a game of pool in the large room where I record my radio prayer tips. The house has mushroomed from the 1,800 square feet we bought twenty-six years ago. Ray does love to build, especially now that he’s retired.
I wish we could visit in person, but since that isn’t possible, I’d love it if you’d make yourself at home on my site. Visit all the rooms, then click on the contact page and chat with me. I’d love to get to know you.
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for Ray!
